Indian Head Rail Trail Rocks

I decided to load some photo equipment on my bike this morning and check out the new Indian Head Rail Trail. It's a gorgeous ride through the Mattowoman Creek watershed. It will get even better over the next few years as the local wildlife becomes accustomed to people in the area. Put on your walking shoes or hop on a bike, take a picnic lunch and enjoy this Charles County treasure.

Osprey Update 2

One egg so far this year and one angry mom complaining about the photo session. We expect to see a young osprey by the first week in May. May 15th UPDATE. There are two young ospreys in the nest. Will try to get some pictures when I have time. June UPDATE. Now that they have grown enough to be plainly visible over the side of the nest, we've discovered that there are three chicks in the nest.
